2. How do I apply for a lateral entry police officer position?

If you have 2 or more years of post-probationary work experience as a police officer and meet the outlined qualifications, you are eligible for the Lateral Police Officer Program. Applications for experienced police officers are accepted on an ongoing basis. Oral interviews are determined by the hiring needs of the Department. Complete an application today!

3. What is the hiring process?

Submitted applications are reviewed by the Human Resources Manager for work experience, education and any specific requirements as posted in the job description. Qualified applicants are interviewed for the position. The HR Manager selects one candidate they feel is most qualified for the position. An offer of employment is pending until a pre-employment drug test is received.
