[ARCHIVED] Pumpkin Patrol

Pumpkin Patrol Graphic

The City of Carbondale Police Department is looking for volunteers this Halloween. On Tuesday, October 30, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., the police department will be sponsoring a Halloween safety patrol called “Pumpkin Patrol”. The police department has sponsored the Pumpkin Patrol since 1992.

Volunteers wearing orange safety vests and driving vehicles bearing the “Pumpkin Patrol” logo will patrol areas of our community where kids participate in "trick or treat". Although we strongly encourage adults to accompany children, the volunteers will conduct “Pumpkin Patrols” to identify any potential hazards to children and provide a place where children can turn if they feel threatened. Please help us make trick-or-treating safe and enjoyable for our children in Carbondale again this year.

If you are interested in being on the "Pumpkin Patrol" contact Officer Randy Mathis at 618-457-3200, extension 402.
