[ARCHIVED] City Announces Carbondale Halloween 2023!

CARBONDALE - It’s that time of year again to fill your days and nights up with spooks and thrills! Carbondale Halloween 2023 will be jam-packed with family-friendly events such as The Great Carbondale Pumpkin Race, Downtown Candy Walk, Green Earth’s Pumpkin Glow, Touch of Nature’s Haunted Hollow, and a spectacular concert, Live at Washington and Main, with Nashville artists Lindsay Lou and Kyle Tuttle, and local gem, Miss Jenny. We will wrap up the season’s festivities with a brand new event hosted by SIU sustainability, The Great Southern Illinois Pumpkin Smash, at the beginning of November to encourage residents to compost their jack-o-lanterns and decorative pumpkins from Halloween. For more details and the full extensive list of activities for Carbondale Halloween (Oct. 20-Nov.4), please visit Scare ya there!

“Carbondale prides itself on providing its visitors, students, businesses and residents with a unique mix of edge and ease. It’s a cultural town, yet free of pretense, embracing the great outdoors as readily as urban sophistication. Here, we are open to new ideas, experiences and cultures, so you are encouraged to both express yourself and be yourself, in all ways. That’s Carbondale…All Ways Open… for family, fun, business, new ideas and a bright tomorrow.”
