Burglary Investigation
For Immediate Release
Carbondale – On July 18th, 2023 at 3:49 a.m., City of Carbondale police officers responded to the 600 block of East College Street regarding a burglary in progress at a commercial building. Officers located evidence of forced entry and began a search of the building. Officers located Brian C. Brennan, 43 years old of Carbondale, hiding in the building. The investigation revealed that Brennan was in the process of burglarizing the building when officers arrived. Officers charged Brennan with Burglary, Criminal Trespassing, and Possession of Burglary Tools. He was incarcerated in the Jackson County Jail. The investigation into the incident is active and ongoing.
