[ARCHIVED] Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm Investigation

On 07-24-22 at approximately 5:08 p.m., City of Carbondale police officers responded to the 800 block of North Marion Street in reference to a report of shots fired.  Officers learned a grey or silver Jeep Wrangler stopped in front of a residence where people were gathered and the driver fired several shots.  People at the residence fled and the suspect exited the Jeep.  The suspect then fired several more shots before driving south away from the area.  The suspect was described as a black male with a distinctive limp when walking.  No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.  Some property damage was reported to officers.  The investigation remains active and ongoing.
