[ARCHIVED] Reckless Discharge of a Firearm Investigation

On 03-25-22 at 10:19 p.m., City of Carbondale police officers responded to the 800 block of West Main Street in reference to a report of shots fired.    During the course of the investigation, officers learned the suspect, Teron C. Stuart, 39 of Carbondale unlawfully fired a handgun in response to a feud he was in with known acquaintances.  Officers arrested Stuart for Reckless Discharge of a Firearm. After consulting with the Jackson County State’s Attorney’s Office, Stuart was incarcerated in the Jackson County Jail.  No injuries were identified or damaged property located as a result of the incident.  The investigation remains active.
