On 03-17-22 at approximately 11:30 a.m., the City of Carbondale Police Department, along with the U.S. Marshals Service located and arrested Deaundre R. Wimberly, 29 of Carbondale, for multiple warrants in the 900 block of West McDaniel Street. The warrants were the result of multiple investigations led by the Carbondale Police Department. With the assistance from the Jackson County State’s Attorney’s Office, Wimberly was arrested on warrants for Unlawful Use of a Weapon by a Felon, Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm, Home Invasion, Aggravated Domestic Battery, Vehicular Invasion and Unlawful Possession of a Stolen Vehicle.
During the course of the arrest and investigation, Carbondale Police Detectives also charged Wimberly with additional counts of Unlawful Use of a Weapon by a Felon, Armed Violence, Manufacture/Possession of Cannabis with the Intent to Delivery (500 – 2000 grams) and Unlawful Possession of Cannabis. Wimberly is incarcerated in the Jackson County Jail. The investigation into these incidents are still active and ongoing.
