[ARCHIVED] Unlawful Use of a Weapon by a Felon Investigation

On 03-04-22 at 4:52 p.m., officers responded to the 600 block of South James Street in reference to a report of a domestic disturbance.  While responding to the scene, officers learned the suspect displayed a handgun and then drove away from the area in a red vehicle.  Officers located the vehicle and stopped it.  The investigation revealed a handgun inside the vehicle.  The suspect, Ernest Bobo, was arrested for Unlawful Use of a Weapon by a Felon, Operation of a Vehicle without a Driver’s License and Operation of an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.  After conferring with the Jackson County States Attorney’s Office, Bobo was incarcerated in the Jackson County Jail.  The investigation is active and ongoing.
