[ARCHIVED] Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm Investigation

On 07-26-21 at approximately 4:34 p.m., City of Carbondale Police Officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 300 block of East Walnut Street.  Officers learned suspects fired shots in the area causing damage to a parked vehicle.   No other damage was discovered and no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.  The suspects were described as two black males who were in a black car.   The investigation indicates the incident was the result of a dispute between known acquaintances.  The investigation into the incident is active and ongoing.  Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact the Police Department at 618-457-3200 or Crime Stoppers at 618-549-COPS.
