On 05-26-21 at approximately 1:43 p.m., City of Carbondale Police Department officers responded to the 300 block of South Oakland Avenue regarding reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers learned two unknown suspects fired shots causing damage to a residence in the 300 block of South Oakland Avenue. The suspects were last seen in a tan vehicle travelling north on South Oakland Avenue heading toward West Walnut Street no injuries were reported as a result of this incident. The investigation revealed, this incident is the result of a dispute amongst acquaintances. The investigation into this incident is active and ongoing.
