[ARCHIVED] Aggravated Battery with a Firearm

On 05-20-21 at 8:44 p.m., City of Carbondale Police Department officers responded to the 500 block of South Beveridge Street regarding reports of shots fired.  Officers located an adult female with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.  The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment by an acquaintance.  The investigation revealed, the suspect fired multiple gunshots and then a silver four door car was seen fleeing the scene.  The information learned indicates the incident involves known acquaintances.   The investigation into this incident is active and ongoing.  Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact the police department at 618-457-3200 or Crime Stoppers at 618-549-COPS.
