[ARCHIVED] Missing Juvenile Runaway Investigation – Recovered

On 05-19-21, City of Carbondale police officers learned Esperanza Slattery, 15 of Carbondale, has been successfully recovered in Cahokia, Illinois. She was found to be safe and in good health.   We thank the community for your assistance with this investigation.

The City of Carbondale Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing juvenile reported on 05-13-21, Esperanza Slattery, age 15, of Carbondale. Slattery, pictured below, was last reported to have been seen on 05-13-21 in Nashville, Illinois.  Slattery is described as 4’10” tall, weighing 120 pounds, black hair and brown eyes.  Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Slattery should contact the Carbondale Police Department at 618-457-3200. The investigation is ongoing and active.
