Saluki Photo Shoot

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CARBONDALE – The City of Carbondale is teaming up with the Southern Illinois University Foundation to host a Saluki photo shoot on Friday, February 1 at the Carbondale Civic Center.

Carbondale business owners and community members are invited to show their Saluki spirit in preparation for SIU's 150th anniversary and 2019 Day of Giving. From 11 a.m.-1 p.m., there will be live Salukis, refreshments and an opportunity for SIU-inspired photos. This event is free and open to the public. No appointment is required.

For more information about the Day of Giving, visit siuday.siu.edu and use the hashtag #siuday on social media for the Day of Giving on March 6.

If you have questions, call Carbondale Public Relations Officer Amy Fox at (618) 559-1939.

“Carbondale prides itself on providing its visitors, students, businesses and residents with a unique mix of edge and ease. It’s a cultural town, yet free of pretense, embracing the great outdoors as readily as urban sophistication. Here, we are open to new ideas, experiences and cultures, so you are encouraged to both express yourself and be yourself, in all ways. That’s Carbondale…All Ways Open… for family, fun, business, new ideas and a bright tomorrow.”
