FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CARBONDALE – In response to the dangerously low temperatures, the Carbondale Warming Center has opened an overflow section to accommodate a limited number of additional guests.
Executive Director Carmalita Cahill says guests will be provided with food and a warm place to sleep. Volunteers are needed to assist with the additional guests.
To volunteer, fill out an application on the Warming Center’s website.
Cahill says the Warming Center is also accepting donations of sleeping bags, paper products, and pre-cooked meals. Donations can be dropped off at 608 East College Street in Carbondale.
