[ARCHIVED] Warming Center to Receive $10,000 from Church Women United

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CARBONDALE –The City of Carbondale is pleased to announce the Carbondale Warming Center will be awarded $10,000 from the Carbondale branch of Church Women United. 

On Tuesday, February 9, at 10:30 a.m., Church Women United members will present a $10,000 check to the Warming Center's Executive Director, Carmalita Cahill.

Members of the media are invited to join us for the check presentation to celebrate this community partnership. 

A member from Church Women United, Carmalita Cahill, and the Warming Center volunteer who applied for the grant will be available for interview.  

The Carbondale Warming Center has served 312 individuals for 8,628 nights and has helped 48 guests find permanent housing.
