[ARCHIVED] City Accepting Funding Applications From Community Organizations

City of Carbondale Logo

The City of Carbondale is now accepting funding applications from community organizations/agencies for the City’s Fiscal Year 2022 (May 1, 2021 – April 30, 2022).

A fillable application is available here. It can also be found under the Residents tab located on the City’s Website at https://www.explorecarbondale.com

Please return your application materials, and a copy of your organizations 990’s electronically to Faith Johnson at [email protected] by Friday, January 29, 2021.  Staff will review the applications and present them to the City Council for review and approval.

As a reminder, funding requests for community organizations/agencies will be finalized by City Council during the budget process and will be contingent upon the availability of financial resources.  As a result, agencies should carefully consider the amount requested before completing your application as there is no guarantee that your project will be funded. We should also remind you that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the City has realized significant declines in revenue, which will present budgetary challenges for FY22. Past program performance, as well as proposed program content, will be considered in each funding decision. As the City evaluates the funding requests, it is possible that funding may be reduced from the levels requested.

It is critical that the requested information be received in the City Manager’s office by 5:00 pm on Friday, January 29, 2021.
