[ARCHIVED] Reckless Discharge of a Firearm and Possession of Controlled Substance Investigation

On 12-11-20 at approximately 8:31 a.m., officers of the City of Carbondale Police Department responded to the 1100 block of East Walnut Street in reference to a report of a single gunshot fired.  During the course of the investigation, officers arrested Sedrick W. Summers for Reckless Discharge of a Firearm and Possession of Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute. Summers was incarcerated in the Jackson County Jail.   Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact the City of Carbondale Police Department at (618) 457-3200.  The investigation into the incident is continuing.
