On 12-07-2020 at approximately 6:06 p.m., officers of the City of Carbondale Police Department responded to the 400 block of East College Street in reference to a report of an attempted robbery. Officers learned the suspect approached the victim, implied that he had a weapon and demanded the victim’s property. The suspect fled the area westbound on foot when the victim waved down a passing vehicle for assistance. The victim was not injured and the suspect did not get any property. The suspect is described as a white male, in his late 30’s or early 40’s, approximately 5'9" tall, shoulder length brown hair. The suspect was wearing a black leather jacket, a dingy white shirt, gray sweatpants and black shoes. The suspect had his face concealed with what was described as a hospital face mask.
