[ARCHIVED] Carbondale Police Department Collecting Toys and Coats for Annual Christmas Store

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CARBONDALE – The Carbondale Police Department needs your help in collecting new coats and toys for children in our community. The department is again hosting the Annual Coat Drive and Christmas Store, which are great opportunities to help local families through the holidays and cold weather months.

Christmas Store

For more than a decade, the CPD Annual Christmas Store has helped parents put presents under the tree for their kids. The CPD is collecting toys for boys and girls aged 1 to 12 years old. If you are interested in donating, please drop-off the toys in the Carbondale Police Department's lobby between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm Monday through Friday.

If you are unable to drop-off donations during regular business hours, please call dispatch at 618-549-2121 to make arrangements for another time.

Annual Coat Drive

The CPD requests new coats of all sizes for boys and girls aged 1 to 15 years old. While shopping at our Christmas Store, parents will be able to pick out a coat for their child to help keep them warm this winter. If you are interested in donating, drop-off sites and times are listed below:

  • Carbondale Police Department: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
  • Carbondale City Hall: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
  • University Baptist Church (700 S. Oakland): Monday/Wednesday/Friday, 9:00 am - 11:00 am

The Carbondale Police Department will accept toy and coat donations through 4 p.m. on Monday, December 14.
