[ARCHIVED] Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm Investigation

On 09-20-2020 at approximately 10:00 p.m., City of Carbondale Police Department officers responded to the area of South Wall Street and East Mill Street in reference to a report of shots fired. During the course of the investigation, officers learned several shots were fired in the 200 block of North Wall Street causing damage to a residence.   A white vehicle was seen fleeing south on North Wall Street at a high rate of speed.   A few moments later shots were fired between the occupants of the white vehicle and occupants of a black Dodge Charger in the 700 block of South Wall Street.  No injuries have been reported as a result of the incident.  There is not any suspect information to provide at this time.   Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact the police department at 618-457-3200 or Crime Stoppers at 618-549-COPS.  The investigation into the incident is active and ongoing.
