On Sunday, August 23 at 9:07 PM, the City of Carbondale Fire Department (CFD) responded to a report of a fire on the third floor at 708 W. Mill Street (Ivy Hall), Carbondale. The first CFD crews arrived on scene at 9:07 PM. Initial CFD crews made access to the third floor where they located the fire in one of the apartments. The fire was knocked down at 9:13 PM. Fire crews searched the 19 unit apartment building for any occupants still in the building. No civilians or firefighters were injured during the fire. Fire/Arson Investigators were called to the scene. One arrest has been made in connection to the fire. Damage estimates are not available at this time.
