[ARCHIVED] Motor Vehicle Theft Investigation

The City of Carbondale Police Department received three reports of theft of motor vehicles at various locations in Carbondale over the last two weeks. A suspect was developed as a result of the investigations which culminated in the arrest of Bridgett R. Hart, 33 of Carbondale. Hart was located during a traffic stop in one of the stolen vehicles and arrested for two charges of Motor Vehicle Theft, Possession of a Stolen Vehicle and Driving while License Suspended. Hart was also arrested for Criminal Trespass to Property in reference to a separate incident which recently occurred in the 300 block of West Elm Street. Hart was transported to the Jackson County Jail where she was incarcerated. All vehicles involved have been recovered and returned to the owners. The investigations into the incidents are continuing.
