[ARCHIVED] Spring Cleanup To Resume Monday

CLEANUP

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CARBONDALE – Due to large volumes of household rubbish left out for this year’s annual spring cleanup, crews were unable to complete today’s route (July 10).

The landfill closes on weekends; therefore, City staff cannot resume pickup efforts until Monday, July 13. You can leave your rubbish on the curbside. On Monday, our crews will pick up where they left off on Friday.

Thank you for your patience and understanding. If you have questions, call our Maintenance and Environmental Service Office at (618) 457-3275.

“Carbondale prides itself on providing its visitors, students, businesses and residents with a unique mix of edge and ease. It’s a cultural town, yet free of pretense, embracing the great outdoors as readily as urban sophistication. Here, we are open to new ideas, experiences and cultures, so you are encouraged to both express yourself and be yourself, in all ways. That’s Carbondale…All Ways Open… for family, fun, business, new ideas and a bright tomorrow.”
