[ARCHIVED] Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm Investigation

On 07-08-2020, at approximately 6:09 p.m., City of Carbondale Police Officers responded to the 900 block of North Marion Street in reference to a report of shots fired.  During the course of the investigation, officers learned unknown suspects fired several shots in the area.  At this point in the investigation, information indicates the incident is related to a dispute amongst acquaintances.  The suspects are described as two black males that fled the area in a black two door vehicle.  There were no reported injuries or property damage as a result of the incident.  Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact the police department at 618-457-3200.  This investigation into the incident is active and ongoing.
