On 06-10-2020, at 4:25 p.m., Carbondale Police Officers responded to the 400 block of West Monroe Street in reference to a report of a theft from a person. The victim reported being inside a parked car with friends when the suspect ran up to the car, grabbed money out of the victim’s hand, then ran west towards South Poplar Street. The suspect is a black male in his early 20’s, about 5’01” tall, 180 pounds, medium complexion, with bushy hairstyle. He was last seen wearing a white tank top and white shorts. There were no injuries as a result of the incident. This investigation is currently active and being investigated by the Carbondale Police Department.
