[ARCHIVED] IL 13 (E Walnut St) Closed For Railroad Crossing Repairs

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CARBONDALE – The Illinois Department of Transportation announced a two-day road closure in downtown Carbondale for railroad crossing repairs. According to IDOT, beginning June 2, IL 13 (E. Walnut St) will be closed at the CN/IC railroad crossing so crews can make repairs.

The work will conclude on Wednesday, June 3 at 6:00 p.m. There will be no traffic permitted through the crossing during the repairs. IDOT asks that drivers avoid the work area and use marked detour routes.
