[ARCHIVED] Aggrvated Unlawful Use of Weapons

On 03-12-2020 at approximately 10:07 p.m., officers responded to the 200 block of East Larch Street in reference to a report of shots fired. Officers arrived in the area and then heard additional shots fired in the 1000 block of North Robert A. Stalls. Officers learned the shots were fired by individuals inside of a moving vehicle. Officers quickly located the suspect vehicle and initiated a traffic stop. The vehicle eventually came to a stop in the 800 block of North Marion Street and the occupants fled from the vehicle westbound on foot. Officers located and arrested three suspects who were identified as juvenile males from Carbondale. Officers are still seeking the location and identities of possible fourth and fifth occupants who fled from the vehicle. During the initial investigation, officers learned that some shots damaged property, but there were no injuries reported as a result of the incidents. The three juvenile males were incarcerated in the Franklin County Juvenile Detention Center. The investigation into the incident is active and ongoing.
