[ARCHIVED] Death Investigation

On 02-14-2020 at approximately 3:17 p.m., officers responded to the 700 block of South Rawlings Street in reference to a death investigation. During the course of the investigation, officers and detectives learned a male and female couple got into a domestic dispute.  During the dispute, the male half suffered a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased at the scene.  There were not any other involved parties and no other reported injuries.  The victim is not being identified as this time pending notifications of next of kin. The investigation into the incident is currently active and ongoing.
