FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
CARBONDALE - On Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at 6:13 p.m., the City of Carbondale Fire Department (CFD) responded to a report of smoke and fire coming from 26 Pine Lake Drive, Carbondale.
The first CFD crews arrived on scene at 6:17 p.m. Initial CFD crews made access to the second floor of the structure and found heavy fire conditions in the attic. The fire was declared under control at 10:14 p.m. Fire crews continued to perform salvage and overhaul, as well as investigation activities, until clearing the scene at 4:08 a.m. on Wednesday. No civilians or fire fighters were injured during the fire. Damage estimates are not available at this time. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
