[ARCHIVED] Aggravated Discharge of Firearm- Update

Update - Officers have arrested a 17 year old juvenile, who is in custody and has been charged with Unlawful Use of Weapons and Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm. 

The two of the individuals who received life-threatening injuries are now expected to be released from the hospital after successful medical treatment. The third individual who was treated for non-life threatening injuries has been released from the hospital.

Investigators have determined a dispute amongst acquaintances led to the shooting incident. There is no further information to be released at this time, including the identity of those involved. The investigation remains active and ongoing.

***Previous Release*** 

On 09-14-19 at 6:17 p.m., officers with the City of Carbondale Police Department responded to the 700 block of North Robert A. Stalls in reference to the report of gunshots fired. Officers learned three individuals were injured and transported to Memorial Hospital of Carbondale for treatment of gunshot wounds. Two of the individuals received life-threatening injuries and the third individual is being treated for non-life threatening injuries. One individual is in custody and charges are pending at this time. Preliminarily, the investigation has revealed a dispute amongst acquaintances led to the gunshots being fired. There is no further information to be released at this time, including the identity of those involved. The investigation into this incident is active and ongoing.
