[ARCHIVED] Aggravated Battery with a Firearm

On 08-30-19 at approximately 9:45 p.m., Carbondale Police Officers responded to the 300 block of East Hester Street in reference to shots fired. Officers located a gunshot victim with non-life threatening injuries.  The victim was taken to Memorial Hospital of Carbondale for treatment and later released.  The victim is not being identified as this time and there is not any suspect information to provide.  Witnesses indicated a dark color vehicle left the area after the shooting that is described as a possible blue Volkswagen Beetle. This investigation is currently active and ongoing.
