The City of Carbondale Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in a battery investigation. On 06-29-2019 at approximately 12:26 a.m. officers responded to the 500 block of South Illinois Avenue in reference to a report of a battery. Officers arrived and located two victims who reported being battered by unknown suspects while they were walking on the sidewalk in the area. One suspect, picture below, was described as a black male wearing a yellow and black jacket. Both victims were transported to the Memorial Hospital of Carbondale by ambulance where they were treated and released.
