[ARCHIVED] Fourth of July Fireworks Parking Information

Fireworks Parking

CARBONDALE – Southern Illinois University Carbondale has released parking and road closure information for those attending the City of Carbondale's Fourth of July fireworks display on campus July 4 at 9:15 p.m.

Parking at the Banterra Center is accessible by using the U.S. 51/Saluki Drive or Pleasant Hill Road/Arena Drive entrances. Lincoln Drive will be open. However, Douglas Drive will be closed, between Lincoln and Saluki drives, beginning at 6 p.m. Spectators are encouraged to arrive early. Parking along U.S. 51 and other roadways to view the fireworks is prohibited.

The rain date for fireworks is July 5. If you have questions, contact Carbondale Public Relations Officer Amy Fox at (618) 559-1939.
