Missing Person Update 2:09 p.m.

On 06-10-2019 at about 1:45 p.m. Patrice was recovered by Carbondale City Employees involved in the search in the 1500 block of North Marion Street extension in Carbondale.  Patrice was reunited with her family and then transported to Memorial Hospital of Carbondale to verify her wellbeing.  The investigation is continuing and ongoing.

The Carbondale Police Department would like to the Carbondale Community for all their assistance and support for all those involved in the search.   

Missing Person Update 9:45 a.m.:

The City of Carbondale Police Department continues its request for the public’s assistance in locating a missing juvenile, Patrice D. Dotson.   Officers worked throughout the night and continue this morning in an effort to locate Patrice.  Patrice, age 7, was last seen on 06-10-2019 at about 6:00 p.m in the 600 block of West Cherry Street.  Patrice is described as about 4’00” tall, weighing about 70 pounds, with brown eyes and braided black hair with multi-colored beads. Patrice was last seen wearing gray shorts, a white tee shirt, and pink shoes.  Patrice was reported to be in the Carbondale area on foot. Patrice walks with a pronounced limp and has a large blemish on the left side of her nose.  Patrice has a mental development disability and is sometimes non-verbal.  Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Dotson should contact the Carbondale Police Department at 618-549-2121. The investigation into this incident is continuing.

Dotson has a mental development disability and is sometimes non- verbal. Anyone with info verbal. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Dotson should contact the Carbondale Police Department at 618-457-3200. The investigation into this incident is continuing.
