[ARCHIVED] UPDATE - Hydrant Flushing

The Carbondale Fire Department will continue hydrant flushing on Wednesday, May 15. Crews will be working weekdays from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Hydrant flushing will occur at the following intersections:

  • Between Robert A. Stalls Avenue and North Wall Street at Fisher Street going north
  • Dillinger Road and Bicentennial Park area
  • Hydrants on the east side not flushed initially

Residents may notice a change in water pressure and possible discoloration. The water is safe to drink. However, if your water is discolored, wait a few hours before doing laundry. If you have water related questions, call (618) 529-1731.
