[ARCHIVED] UPDATE - Hydrant Flushing

The Carbondale Fire Department will continue hydrant flushing on Monday, April 15. Crews will be working weekdays from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Hydrant flushing will occur at the following intersections:

  • East of South Emerald Lane at West Walnut Street going north
  • Between South Oakland Avenue and South University Avenue at West Pecan Street going north
  • Between South Wall Street and South Lewis Lane at East Main Street going north

Residents may notice a change in water pressure and possible discoloration. The water is safe to drink. However, if your water is discolored, wait a few hours before doing laundry. If you have water related questions, call (618) 529-1731.
