Learning in Retirement: "Bonsai Past and Present - A Look at the Living Art of Tiny Trees"

Stephen Bailey will discuss and show bonsai trees at the Southern Illinois Learning in Retirement (SILIR) meeting. Bailey has spent the past twenty years as a consultant to garden centers across North America. For nearly 20 years before that, he and his wife Bonnie operated the Family Tree Garden Center on Hwy 51 South, Carbondale. The presentation, free and open to the public, will be held at Grace United Methodist Church, 220 N. Tower Road in Carbondale at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 17.
